Canon 1100D vs Nikon D3100?

I am able to afford either and just want a beginner SLR camera that takes clear, crisp shots. I know the Nikon captures more detail but are Canon lenses better? I don’t want to change my mind after buying lenses for one brand!

Do you have either or know someone who does? Thank you!
